For three semesters, I wrote and drew comic strips for the Point Weekly, the student newspaper at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU). This is a collection of my favorite strips from those three semesters, gathered together in an easy-to-share format.

Be sure to use the page guide on the right side of this page to look through the comics in chronological order.

Sketches on Death

A series of illustrated puns that I did in my spare time.

Don't Cry

The last comic I did

The Neverending Story

Following a few weeks of heated Opinion section articles on gay marriage.

Ring by Spring

Dish Return

Parakeets

Years ago, someone released two parakeets into the trees at Point Loma. They've multiplied, and now we're all paying the price.

Service

PLNU is a notoriously bad dead zone for cell phone reception.

Discussion

Apocalypse

This was the last comic that ran before December 21st, 2012, the infamous date of the 2012 Mayan Apocalypse.

Our Mascot

PLNU's mascot is the Sea Lion, but it's not a sea lion; it's a ocean-based lion with kelp for a mane.

Phrases That Make No Sense to Non-Lomans

People who don't go to PLNU might have some trouble with our lingo...

"The Dungeon" is a group of classrooms that are underground. It's not fun to have classes there.

"The Toilet Paper" is a weekly newsletter that goes up in campus bathrooms.

"Time-Out" is a weekly Wednesday night worship service.

New Year

How to Sing the Alma Mater

Not very many people know more than the last two words of PLNU's Alma Mater.
